Description

Genie Operators Compacitor 70 MFD, this is used on all AC powered Genie and Overhead openers. The capacitor is basically a battery that stores power and jump starts the electric motor when you press you wall station or remote transmitter. A good way to tell that you capacitor is bad or warn out is to see if the round seal close to the terminals is broke or if oil sprayed on the inside of the motor cover. A lot of times when the capacitor pops it sprays oil on the motor that is hot and it will smoke.
