Genie AC and DC Screw Drive Coupler (metal and plastic collar connects the screw drive rail to motor head and occasionally strip when opener is working too hard and is compatible with all Genie and Overhead Screw Drive Openers) The easiest way to tell if your coupler is stripped is to engage the trolley or carriage and operate the opener, while it is running check to see if the screw in the rail is turning. If it is not turning then your coupler is stripped, if it is turning then this means your trolley is stripped.
